Statement of Faith

 1. The Scriptures:

We believe that the Bible is complete, inerrant, infallible, inspired Word of God; that it was written by men who were moved by the Holy Spirit so that their writings, brought over in the Textus Receptus and the King James Authorized Version of 1611, were super-naturally inspired and free from error, as no other writings have ever been or ever will be. They are the complete and final revelation of the will of God to man, and so are a supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
***Deut. 4:2; Ezek. 12:25; Mt. 5:18; 2 Tim. 3:16, 17; 2 Pet. 1:21; Rev. 22:18, 19

2. The True God:

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
***I John 5:7, 8

A) GOD THE FATHER
We believe in God the Father, perfect in holiness, boundless in love, infinite in wisdom, measureless in power. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayers, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ, His Son.
***Ex. 20:2, 3; John 1:1-3; 1 Cor. 8:6

B) GOD THE SON
We believe in Jesus Christ, God the Son, pre-existent with the Father, begotten by the Holy Spirit (Mt. 1:18-25) and born of the Virgin Mary (Is. 7:14; Lk. 1:26-28); sinless in His nature and life, infallible in His teaching (Mt. 7:28, 29), making atonement for the sins of the world by His substitutionary death on the cross (Is. 53; 2 Cor. 5:21). We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into Heaven, His perpetual intercession for His people, and His glorious advent according to promise (John 14:1-4). We believe that the promise of His second coming includes: first, “The Blessed Hope” of the believer, namely, the personal,pre-millennial and pre-tribulational return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, to rapture His Church according to I Thess. 4:13-18; second, His return later to earth with His saints to set up His millennial reign.
***Lk. 1:26-38; John 1:1-14; Phil. 2:5-8

C) GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit. We believe that He came to convince and convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment; and to regenerate, sanctify, indwell, comfort and empower those who believe in Jesus Christ. In rightly dividing the Word of Truth, we reject the modern day Charismatic Movement of the so called “Out-Pouring” of the Holy Spirit. Sign gifts such as Tongues, along with other Wonders and Miracles, were evidently limited to the early church, and even generally specific to the Jew to help validate the claims of Jesus Christ as their Messiah. These gifts must have ceased by the time the apostles died out, given that only the apostles had the ability to distribute these gifts as described in Acts 5:12. Further, Paul had left Trophimus at Miletum sick, in II Timothy 4:20, thus indicating that his healing abilities were gone. Undoubtedly, God has, and still does perform miracles and/or healings through prayer and fasting, but not as a sign, nor at the command of any believer. In regards to the church, God’s will, plans, and complete revelation are all illuminated through the King James Bible.
***Jn. 3:5, 14:16, 17, 26, 16:7-15; Acts 1:8; Rom. 8:9-16; 1 Cor. 2:7-13, 3:16; 1 Jn. 2:27

3. MAN:

We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also that spiritual death which is separation from God. We believe that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought and deed by choice.
***Gen. 3:1-6, 6:5; Job 14:1-4; Ps. 51:5; Is. 64:6; Jer. 17:9; Rom. 1:18-2:19, 3:10, 23, 5:12

4. SALVATION:

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who by faith receive Him as their personal Saviour are justified on the ground of His blood shed on Calvary and His resurrection from the dead and are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become the children of God.
***Jn. 1:11,12, 3:16; Acts 4:12; Rom. 5:8; Phil. 2:7; Col. 1:12-14; Col. 2:11, 13-15; Heb. 4:14-16, 9:19-28,
12:2; 1 Pet. 2:24; Rev. 3:20

5. THE CHURCH:

We believe in the visible church which is the body of believers in Jesus Christ (Rm. 12:5; 1 Cor 12:27; Eph. 1:22,23), baptized on a personal confession of faith (Jn. 3:1-8; Rm. 10:9-13), and assembled for worship, study of the Word, service and fellowship. We believe that these two ordinances were given to the church: the baptism of believers by immersion (Rm. 6:3, 4; Col. 12:2) and the Lord’s Supper (Mt. 26:26-30; 1 Cor. 11:23-32). We believe that God has laid upon these churches the task of preaching the Gospel to every creature (Mt. 10:7, 27; Mk. 16:15; Acts 20: 17-28), and the edification of the individual members of the Body of Christ (Eph. 3:11-16, 29; 1 Thess. 5:11-15).
***Matt. 16:15-18; Acts 2:41, 42, 20:17-28

6. THE ETERNAL DESTINY OF MANKIND:

A) We believe in the pre-tribulational (1 Thess. 1:9, 10, 5:9, 10), pre-millennial Rapture of the saints (John 14:3; 1 Cor. 15:51-53; 1 Thess. 4:13-18).

B) We believe in the Judgment Seat of Christ for saints (1 Cor. 3:11-15; 2 Cor. 5:10)

C) We believe in the Second Coming of Christ with His saints to rule and reign 1000 years (Is. 11:1-12; Rev. 5:10, 20:6).

D) We believe in the Great White Throne of Judgment and the New Heaven and the New Earth (Is. 65:17; Rev. 20:11-15, 21:1-2).

E) We believe in the eternal (Rev. 14:11), conscious (Lk. 16:19-26) suffering of the unbeliever in the Lake of Fire (Rev. 20:11-15).

7. ASSURANCE:

We believe in the eternal security by the Holy Spirit in the believer.
***Jn. 10:27-29; Eph. 4:30; Phil. 1:6; 1 Pet. 1:5, 23
